DAY 1 — Oslo → Lillehammer → Dombås
Arrival and First Introduction to Norway
Your journey begins upon arrival in Oslo, where you meet your tour leader and begin traveling north into the Norwegian countryside. The transition from city to nature happens gradually, offering a first impression of the country’s scale and calm atmosphere. In Lillehammer, we stop to visit the Olympic ski jump and enjoy time in the town center, allowing for a relaxed lunch and a chance to settle into the rhythm of the journey.
Before continuing, we visit Ringebu Stave Church, one of Norway’s oldest wooden churches. Set within a quiet rural landscape, it provides a meaningful introduction to Norway’s early Christian heritage. By evening, we arrive in Dombås, where we gather for a welcome dinner and prepare for the days ahead.
